What happens at your first visit

There are five steps. At the end, you decide.

Step by step

  1. Talk to the doctor

A first consultation to understand your problem. If you like, start with a prepaid pre-consultation: a short video or phone call with Dr. Resham or Dr. Nikhil, ₹500, about 15 minutes. Tell them what is bothering you, show it on camera or send photos and old X-rays, and you will know whether you need to come in and what to bring. It is optional. You can also simply message or call for a time.

  2. Bring what you have

Earlier X-rays, scans or reports, even old ones; a list of the medicines you take; and any dentures or retainers you wear. If you have nothing, that is fine too.

  3. Examination

You tell the doctor what is bothering you, in your own words. The doctor examines your teeth and gums, with an X-ray, and a CBCT scan here at the clinic if required; medication is given as indicated. A CBCT scan is a 3D image of the teeth and jaw; it is not needed for every visit.

  4. The doctor explains

What was found, shown to you where possible, and the options, including waiting. You get the plan and the cost in writing, so you can read it at home. What decides the cost is explained, not just the number.

  5. You decide

Start the treatment, or fix your next appointment for it. Nothing is done without your consent. If you want to think about it, take the plan with you.

Before you come

Things to bring to a first visit, laid out on a table: old reports in a leather folder, medicines and a written list, reading glasses, a phone.

What to bring

  • Earlier X-rays, scans or dental reports
  • A list of the medicines you take
  • Any dentures, retainers or night guards
  • Your pre-consult confirmation, if you had one

If you're nervous

Tell us when you book, or when you sit down. The doctor explains each step before it happens, and you can ask to pause at any time; a raised hand is enough. If it helps, talk to the doctor by phone or video before you come, so the room and the voice are familiar.

Bringing a child

Children are seen from about age three, for check-ups and gentle everyday care. A first visit is usually short, and a parent stays in the room. Children's dentistry has more.

Need another time?
